Under NOAA’s ProTech Fisheries IDIQ contract, Azura is providing Section 7 consultation services for the Southeast Regional Office (SERO) Protected Resources Division (PRD) in partnership with Salus Resources Inc., a service-disabled veteran owned small business. SERO is responsible for the management, conservation, and protection of living marine, estuarine, and anadromous species and their habitats found in the eight coastal states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, as well as the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
SERO PRD administers Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) which involves consulting with federal agencies to conserve the 32 ESA-listed species and critical habitat in the Southeast Region during project development and implementation. The Azura Team is assisting SERO PRD with Section 7 informal consultations and project reviews of requests submitted from federal action agencies authorizing, funding, and carrying out actions that may affect ESA-listed species and critical habitat in the Southeast Region.
