Azura Consulting LLC is a woman-owned small business offering ‘big city’ resources with ‘small town’ customer service. Our primary consulting services are focused on natural resources, professional writing and editing, and educational outreach and communication.
We are a diverse team of expert scientists, professional writers and editors, and informal educators who are passionate about our work and dedicated to our clients’ needs. Through great attention to detail and a bit of wit, we provide innovative solutions and high quality products that empower our clients to meet their consulting needs.
Our Founder and CEO
As a marine biologist raised in a small town of farmers in landlocked Arkansas, Amy Whitt understands the importance of following your passions regardless of your situation. The old proverb “where there’s a will, there’s a way” definitely applies to Amy’s life. Her strong will and passion for conservation and outreach propelled her into a personally rewarding career helping others while protecting the environment.
Amy has over 11 years of professional experience in protected species research and environmental management. Prior to founding Azura, Amy served as the Marine Science Program Manager and Scientific Diving Program Manager for VersarGMI. She has conducted marine research and environmental compliance projects across the globe for a variety of clients including federal and state agencies, the oil and gas industry, and the offshore renewable energy industry. A conservationist, explorer, and grammar guru, Amy continues to apply her “where there’s a will, there’s a way” approach to help clients find solutions to their problems, and she encourages this ethic in the rest of the Azura team.

Azura’s clients are as variable as their services and range from large businesses in need of full NEPA assessments to young professionals looking to improve their resumes. Previous clients of the Azura team have included federal and state agencies, private organizations, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, the oil and gas industry, and the offshore renewable energy industry.
