Azura Welcomes First Intern

Alexandria NestlerWe recently welcomed our very first intern to the Azura team. Alexandria Nestler is working towards an Associate of Science degree at Collin College in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. While working at The Aveda Institute, Alexandria became interested in environmental science after learning about the harmful chemicals in personal care products.

Alexandria was chosen for this internship based on her strong self-motivation and superior attention to detail. She is currently learning about habitats, trophic interactions, the scientific method, and toxicology. She enjoys spending the majority of her time outdoors and in nature and also doing community service such as volunteering at the local animal shelter.

During this internship, Alexandria will learn about the world of environmental consulting and will be assisting Azura’s scientists with technical writing and editing, social media and local environmental education outreach/communication, and literature entries for Azura’s master EndNote library.

Welcome, Alexandria, to the Azura team!
